NEWS
Cricket
This year our Sunlight team did not perform well. However, the colts team is in the semi-final round. The under 14 competition has not yet started. This continues to be a very expensive sport. We are not able to provide all that is necessary to properly equip the team.

Basketball
Although we were the defending champions for both the girls and boys under 16 competitions, we were not able to reach any finals this year. The boys under 14  competition has not yet started.

Volleyball
We started off well in our first competition last year. However, lack of interest and shortage of the funding required to hire a coach, have left us without a team.

Badminton
Much interest is now being generated in this sport. We hope we will soon be competition ready. The students have been financing their needs themselves.
I hope they do not ask for a coach. Then I will have to tell them we can’t afford badminton.

Tennis
This program has suffered some setback because of space and lack of funding to hire a coach. We hope that we can restart soon.

Chess
After our second year in the competition, we won the all island championship. This year we retained the champion position.

Netball
Both teams dropped out after the second round this year. We are trying to rebuild the teams through the under 13 competition this year.

Football
All compition suspended.

Track & Field
Our Class 1 boys did very well this year. They won both the 4x100m and the 4x400m Relays at champs. David  Lloyd won the 400m hurdles. They repeated their  good performance at the Penn Relays. The 4x100m team won their event and because of injury was fourth in the 4x400m event.

We are still trying to  procure $100 000 needed to finish paying all the costs associated with the trip.

At least four of these boys have been offered full scholarships to top Universities.

Our girls did not participate in Girls Champs this year. However, Ronetta  Smith, one of our athletes, is doing well and has been offered a good scholarship.
